About Imogen

Finding your own way forward
You might be here because something feels stuck, unsettled, or simply because you are drawn to deeper self-exploration. Perhaps you are navigating a difficult transition, questioning your choices, or seeking deeper meaning in how you live. I work with people facing these moments—helping them slow down, gain clarity, and discover a way forward that feels authentically theirs.

My journey into psychotherapy
My own path has not been straightforward. Originally from the North West of England, I then move South for a role in corporate IT, but a growing sense that something was missing led me to Cape Town, South Africa, from where I retrained as a psychotherapist. That experience of leaving the familiar to pursue something more meaningful deeply informs how I work with clients today.

Since then, I've worked across corporate, voluntary, private, and NHS sectors, holding senior therapist, supervisor, and managerial roles. These diverse experiences taught me that real change happens not through one-size-fits-all solutions, but through genuine connection and understanding each person's unique situation.

How I work
My approach is rooted in existential philosophy and esoteric wisdom and practice, rather than simply psychology. You can read more about my therapeutic approach here, but at its heart is this: I endeavour to meet you as an individual, with presence and genuine connection, creating space for what truly matters to emerge.

I stay actively engaged with the psychotherapeutic community through ongoing research, professional development, and as a visiting lecturer at London's two leading Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy training institutions.

Beyond the therapy room
I am based just outside London, where I balance my practice with a full and rich life. I am reminded daily of the importance of presence and of balance—things that I value both for myself and in my work with clients.
