Online Therapy

Therapy online offers the same safe and confidential space for you to access the support you need remotely. It is an appealing option both for continuity if you are unwell or away, but it is also an option if it fits in better your schedule. It provides access to those who would otherwise be unable to access in-person sessions and it gives you a wider choice of therapists to work with.

Lack of meaning, depression anxiety and dealing with major life choices

Issues relating to eating, exercise and embodiment

Addictions and ways of coping with living in the world including obsessive compulsive thinking

Pregnancy and trying to conceive, postnatal adjustment and parenting

Professionals dealing with the complexities of high-paced living

Identity issues including sexuality, difference and transitioning to a new life or perhaps location

Who does online therapy suit?

Private online therapy offers you the chance to explore all aspects of life from personal development to difficult health conditions or situations, unique to each individual, at a pace and for a length of time that suits you.

As an experienced psychotherapist I have seen a wide range of different people, and although this list is not exhaustive these are some of the issues you might bring to therapy

Remote sessions mostly work in the same way as in-person ones although you may find that the online setting may make things feel a little different. Some find it easier to open up while others find that the connection feels more distant. What is important is that the setting and the therapeutic relationship are confidential and supportive, and your experience of both the in-person and the remote environments are open for exploration. I have been working online (both for continuity of in-person sessions and solely offering remote sessions) for over 5 years and have published research in the field on this topic.

See Existential Therapy for more in-depth information and FAQs for some further practical information.

What does it cost?

Online therapy is charged by the hour and there is no restriction on how many or how few sessions you would like.

My Approach

My Approach

Informed by a variety of psychotherapeutic means rooted in training, research and experience, I offer a respectful and confidential space to explore all aspects of life from personal development to difficult health conditions or situations, unique to each individual. Together we can increase understanding, allow emotional healing and assist recovery - we can slow things down and take stock, allowing for new choices and opportunities to emerge.

My approach to therapy is positive and practical: I believe that psychotherapy enables people to make sense of their problems in the hope that they can make decisions about what they want to do to bring about change in their lives. It provides a means of support and a space where you can feel valued and heard. This is not a time when you are going to be told what to do or what to believe. Therapy is about sharing, exploring and challenging. My job is to help you put problems into context, to challenge your way of thinking, to empathise with the way you feel.

Depending on what is right for each client at any given moment, therapy might involve talking something through, using creative means, working with meditation, Mindfulness or Focusing, or simply offering a safe space to be heard. At the core of my work is the connection between myself and the clients, and an honest and trustworthy commitment to being with you in our sessions.
